Séamus Kealy is Director of the Salzburger Kunstverein. Previously he was Director of The Model, Sligo, Ireland, which he took through a major redevelopment, and previous to that, he was Curator at the Blackwood Gallery, University of Toronto. Awards include the Curatorial Writing Award by the Ontario Association of Art Galleries, and „Top Exhibition in Austria in 2014“ (Punctum), by Profil Magazin. He was also a Finalist for both the RBC National Painting Award in Canada (2002) and Lexmark Pan-European Painting Prize (2004). His paintings have been exhibited internationally. He studied Fine Arts (BFA) under Jeff Wall among others and later Art History: Curatorial Studies (MA) at the University of British Columbia.
